Delyth Lloyd-Evans, Chair,GANS

Delyth has a portfolio career having been in senior executive roles for a many years and has a successful track record of delivery, innovation and change. Currently she Chair of Discovery, a Social Enterprise providing Learning Disability Services and Chair of Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS). She owns a family business in property development and has recently taken on a locally based Café-Bar. Her personal business is in helping companies and individuals in their strategic thinking and development and works with Boards, organisations and individuals, both large and small using a coaching approach to gain success and achieve at the highest levels.


Her extensive experiences in Executive and Non-Executive roles have been in a range of sectors including Health, Housing, Property Development and Education. Working across the UK her portfolio has spanned the private, public and third sector.


Most recently she was the founding Chair of North Somerset Community Partnership, Non-Executive Director and former Chair of Knightstone Housing Group. Previously she was the National Director for a Sector Skills Council, initiating and building its business development approach, and worked with government on children services and health. Her involvement in Governing has been at primary and secondary and with her children growing she completed her last period as Governor as Vice Chair in early 2017. She took over as Chair of GANS in 2012 and has been asked to continue as Chair for the next 12 months. 


She is passionate about organisations and the individuals within them achieving excellence, having their voices heard, providing high quality services and making things better for people and places.
